- I went through the same exercise to no avail. The following steps will
- work. First under Control Panel select System, select Device Manager,
- Remove your Current USR Modem entry. Again Control Panel, Add New
- Hardware. Select NO, choose modem, select Don't detect, under
- manufacturers, select USR and you'll see the new entry Sportster VI
- 33600. Select, next select port. When asked for drivers, select
- alternative and choose USR v.34
